Post 18 Advice and Guidance
Preparing for your next step
There is no single route after Sixth Form. Our students progress to university, apprenticeships, employment, further training and other opportunities. We want each student to understand their options and make a decision that suits their ambitions and circumstances.
In Year 12, students begin exploring courses, careers and pathways in more depth. Year 12 work experience provides an opportunity to learn about a workplace and develop professional skills. Careers activities, encounters with universities and employers, and tutor guidance help students build a clearer picture of what they might do next.
In Year 13, we support students as they prepare applications, meet deadlines and make decisions. Tutors, Mrs Melanie Price and the Post-16 team can help with university, apprenticeship and employment pathways. Students applying to university receive guidance on UCAS and references.
