GCSE Results 2025

Amazing work Class of 2025!!! 💙💛💙💛💙

Students, staff and parents at The Castle School in Thornbury are celebrating a fabulous set of GCSE results today. Headteacher Jessica Lobbett said “I am immensely proud of the whole school community, and it has been wonderful to celebrate together this morning. Highlights include 58% grades 9-5 including English and Maths, and almost a third of all grades 7 -9.  As a result, our young people are all set to progress into our Post 16 Centre or colleges and apprenticeships of their choice. I am incredibly proud that results have improved in all performance measures, consistently for the past two years.

Our highest attainers include:

Eunice Tsang: 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9

Hollie Humphries: 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, Distinction *

Harriet Mason: 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8

Holly Watson: 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8, 8

It is important to note that today’s successes are not, and should not be, measured solely by numerical attainment demonstrated through the achievement of the 'top' grades'. For many of our students their results and progress throughout their time learning at The Castle School show an incredible personal achievement, significant progress and tremendous hard work. For example, staff were delighted by the results achieved by Erin Richards, Poppy Giles, Hollie Lewis and Molly Richards; in each case we are sure that their families and friends will be just as proud as we are of their achievements. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated staff, and to parents and family members, and I wish the students every success for the next stage in their lives. Well done all!”.
