Inclusive Leadership Training

The highlight of the week in PE was our Inclusion Event that we hosted on Tuesday 12th March.

The aim of this programme was to fully embed collaborative and sustainable development of sport and physical activity across the local authority. The event was supported by an outstanding athlete mentor, ex Castle student and former paralympic swimmer Kate Grey, who was there to help deliver the training to our students. Following this training, students left with the skills to equip them to help lead and organise sports festivals in the local community for children with special educational and medical needs.

All students were excellent ambassadors for the school. They demonstrated our Castle values of kindness, fairness and aspiration by working closely with others, developing friendships, enhancing their communication skills and embedding key leadership qualities. They worked closely with students from other local schools, and developed their confidence in coaching  and leading in the community.
